Irish DJ/producer Hyyken has been banging out infectious bends of garage, baseline, house and techno on labels like Fresh Take Records, Tech City and Trick, where he last appeared with ‘Acid Riddim’ in April. His club-friendly style is robust and built to make an impact but never at the expense of fresh musical flavours.
The brilliantly euphoric ‘So Good To Me’ is an all-out piano house belter. The drums are packed with punch, the bright chords dart up and down the scales, and a heartfelt vocal is the irresistible icing on the cake. It’s full of joy and destined for open-air dance floors, boat parties, and plenty of dance floors in between.
“It was probably the fastest I’d ever made a track! The weather was getting great again, and I was listening to so much Floorplan, I got a half day off work and went straight to the studio with an idea to make a gospel vocal house track. Three days later, Patrick is sending me a voice note saying he played in Denver and wanted to sign it immediately!” – Hyyken
