JB Martinz makes his debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MoodCollective with the two-track ‘Tomando El Control’ EP, releasing 14th August 2026. Title track ‘Tomando El Control’ opens with weighty drums, fragmented vocal chops and a rolling bassline that steadily builds momentum, while bright synth work and rising tension drive the track towards maximum dancefloor impact. On the flip, ‘Modo Bass Face’ pairs chunky grooves with vibrant synth lines and a playful, funk-infused bassline, as swelling chords and crisp percussion round off another club-focused house cut.
Born in Lima and now based in Santiago, JB Martinz has built a reputation for his groove-driven house sound with releases on labels including Repopulate Mars, Under No Illusion and Loco Dice‘s SB Recordings. His productions have won support from Carl Cox, Marco Carola and Paco Osuna, while away from the studio, he is a resident at Santiago’s Club Room and the MISA parties, and is a co-founder of the Congueros Music event series.
MoodCollective is the first sub-label in the more than 10-year-long history of Nicole Moudaber’s InTheMood empire, complementing her long-running radio show and flagship MOOD imprint. The label has so far hosted the likes of Castion, Hannah Wants, Francisco Allendes, and more, earning strong support from notable names including Michael Bibi, Groove Armada, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Joseph Capriati, and Adam Beyer.
