“Akimbo” is another future drum & bass offering, pairing mainstage euphoria with the commanding power of modern drum & Bass. A pitched-up, processed vocal hook sets the scene, urging listeners to shut down the dancefloor while spellbinding melody lines, crunchy guitar riffs, chanting vox, thunderous synth leads, and 4×4 switch-ups keep peak-time energy in its crosshairs. The track has already made waves in the festival circuit, seeing early live support from drum & bass icons, including Kanine, 1991, Macky Gee, and A.M.C.

Based out of New Zealand, Pirapus is a production duo known for creating futuristic, ultra-expressive soundscapes in the drum & bass world that pairs with their sci-fi aesthetic.
