Rezz, a name that’s been synonymous with some of the darkest and most sinister techno cuts in electronic music, has released her brand new single ‘Relax’ with its accompanying music video from her upcoming debut Mass Manipulation album. Having already pushed out The Silence Is Deafening and Something Wrong Here EPs on mau5trap, Rezz returns once again to the prominent label to deliver Mass Manipulation, which is to be released on August 4th.
Having had a massive 2016 from touring across the country, headlining her own Something Wrong Here Tour, licensing a track in a Versace commercial to being named one of Billboard’s ‘Dance Artists to Watch in 2016’, it’s clear to see that the enigmatic Canadian prodigy has truly mastered her own craft. Fully demonstrating the musical diversity that has seen her remain at the top of her game in what seems to be an imitative scene, this 8-track journey is testament of her undying passion to deliver quality and innovation.
On the topic of the music video for ‘Relax’, Rezz noted: “Let’s just say, I was creeped out just being at the shoot. Tyler Hynes really crushed it executing my vision for this track”.
Contrary to her prior EPs featuring vocalists, the Mass Manipulation album is filled to the brim exclusively with instrumental records. From the hypnotizing lead single ‘Relax’, high-octane collaboration with 13 on ‘DRUGS!’, the brooding ‘Green Gusher’ to the frenetic synth heavy ‘Livid’, Rezz has ensured her place as one of the world’s top-tier producers of menacing techno and bass music.
Now equipped with a slew of new music, shows set all across the globe for 2017, and a massive cult like following, it looks as though Rezz’s invasion has only just begun.
