RIOT TEN Dominates the Pit With Body-Bruising Double-Sided Dubstep Single ‘Mosh Alarm / FTPU’ for Bassrush Records

Texas-based producer RIOT TEN has dominated the dubstep scene with some of the most recognizable festival-flooring anthems of the past half-decade. Making his return to Bassrush Records comes his new double-sided single ‘Mosh Alarm / FTPU.’ The release follows his collaborative cut “Dale” alongside Jessica Auddifred and Blvkstn, which arrived on the label last year.

“Mosh Alarm” is a mayhem-inducing riddim ripper set to ignite mosh pits around the globe. Wailing sirens create tension, building a sense of impending doom that heightens as the track builds. The spoken word vocals are delivered with a calm demeanor, polarized by the contrasting violent instructions and menacing backing. The composed vocals guide revelers through what’s to come, commanding a cult-like weight of adherence. Body-bruising synth grinds, laser fills, elastic sub-bass, swampy sound design, and punchy percussion duke it out in the blistering, beastly drops. As the intensity subsides, the calling siren creeps back in as the narrator prepares listers for round two. Matching the intensity and filthiness of the first half, RIOT TEN unloads an epic finale that takes the pit to new depths.

“FTPU” builds on the savage energy of the A-side by keeping the pedal to metal. Joining forces with High Zombie and XAE, the diabolical trio expertly infuse rap with skull-splitting dubstep. Icy melodics create a sense of unease that intensifies as sharp drums and electrifying riffs join the party. XAE’s vocals mix rap swagger with a screamed punk energy. The lyrics are destructive and aggressive, perfectly bending into the controlled chaos that defines the drops. Chopped vox, chest-pounding bass, metallic percussion, and grinding synths give the drops a monstrous magnitude that will shake the earth. “FTPU” is a berserker set on a path of pure annihilation.

RIOT TEN provides some background on the double-single, saying, “Since my last EP, I’ve been honing in on my heavier sounds and bringing as much energy to translate to my live sets as possible. Personally, I think this A/B accomplishes exactly that and I’m extremely proud of it.”

RIOT TEN is a consistent standout in the world of bass music with a prolific catalog littered with numerous Beatport #1 Top 100 Dubstep tracks, a Top 10 debut on iTunes’ ‘Dance Album’ charts, and his massive single “Rail Breaker,” amassing over 18 million streams to date. He has become a mainstay on Bassrush Records, unleashing numerous singles on the label since 2018. His work has garnered support from top-tier outlets including UKF, Headbang Society, Moon Lvnding, Relentless Beats, The Music Essentials, and This Song Slaps. He is hot off a performance at Escape Halloween and has a jam-packed touring schedule with can’t-miss shows at Apocalypse: Zombieland, Academy LA, Vanguard, Red Rocks, 11:11, Bogarts, Victory Hall, Orpheum, Soundcheck, Peabody’s Nightclub, and Radius.

‘Mosh Alarm / FTPU’ see RIOT TEN in peak form, as the heavyweight producer unleashes a double dose of rail-riding, speaker-blowing dubstep debauchery.

More About RIOT TEN

Christopher Wilson, aka Riot Ten, exploded into electronic music at the age of 22 with his unique blend of dubstep, trap, and electro. Inking his first deal with DIM MAK Records in early 2017, Riot Ten’s music has been supported and co-signed by the likes of DJ Snake, The Chainsmokers, Porter Robinson, Excision, Zed’s Dead, Steve Aoki and many more. He has also released music on Interscope, Atlantic, Never Say Die, and Bassrush Records to name a few. Riot Ten’s 2016 single “F*ck It” topped the dubstep charts for many consecutive months and became a staple on The Chainsmokers “Memories Do Not Open” tour. This cross-genre success paved the way for “Rail Breaker”, his 2017 global smash, to become one of the most recognizable and infamous dubstep songs of the decade. However, the El Paso, Texas native refused to rest on his laurels. Following this success, it was off to the races, officially, and it was only the beginning. Riot Ten put out his debut EP “The Dead” in 2018, which recorded a top 10 debut on the iTunes dance charts and a #1 Beatport top 100 spot. He went on to release 2 additional EPs in 2018 and 2019, securing his presence in some of Spotify’s top electronic playlists, including Beast Mode, Hype, Fresh Electronic, and more. With an undeniable groundswell underway, and no signs of slowing down, Riot Ten was fast becoming a rising star in bass music. He has now recorded and released two albums since 2020, while simultaneously releasing a string of singles and EPs that would feature some of his most popular records to date, including “Hyphy”, “Mawlee”, “Don’t You” and “Poppin”. Since 2019, Riot Ten has headlined 3 international “Hype Or Die” tours, selling out shows across the globe, from North America to Australia and China. He has also made appearances at some of the top festivals in the world, including, but not limited to, Lollapalooza, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Paradiso and more.
