Following the latest instalment of its ‘Dot By Dot’ VA series, Collecting Dots Records welcomes roza. for his label debut, ‘Now We Move’. Dropping on 30th October, the single introduces the Cleveland-based DJ/producer to OMRI.’s (pronounced OMRI dot) imprint, following growing support around his unreleased music from names including Adam Ten, Maxi Meraki and Broken Hill.
‘Now We Move’ began at ‘around 3 or 4am’ after roza. returned home from a show, still carrying the energy of the night into the studio. After struggling to find the right vocal, he turned to voice notes recorded on his phone, processing them into the foundation of a track produced entirely from his bedroom. “I was still riding the energy from the night and felt inspired to create something that would move people the same way the crowd moved me,” he explains, with the finished record ultimately becoming a chance to lean further into his own sound and identity.
Born and raised in Beirut, roza. draws on indie dance, deep house, afro tech and tech house, alongside a musical background shaped from a young age. Now established within Cleveland’s electronic scene, he holds a residency at FWD Nightclub and has supported touring artists including Blond:ish, MEDUZA, AYYBO, Loud Luxury, and more.
