SHADED lands on South of Saturn with new single ‘Down Now I’m Up’

A man with slicked-back ginger hair wearing sunglasses and a leopard print coat, looking thoughtfully to the side against a plain background.

SHADED deals in driving, psychedelic funk imbued with his own unmistakable Southern California DNA. His sound has been championed by everyone from John Summit and Dubfire to Patrick Topping and Tiga, with plenty of standout releases on Dirtybird, Trick, Desert Hearts and Hot Creations. Following recent collaborations with the likes of Harvard Bass, Ardalan, Kevin Knapp and Wet Velvet, SHADED now makes his debut on Lee Foss’ South of Saturn imprint with ‘Down Now I’m Up’.

‘Down Now I’m Up’ is a wonky, warped tech house workout with twanging synths and laser-like pads. Dark, smudged vocals bring a twisted, narcotic feel to the track, while its off-kilter groove gives the whole thing a sweaty, psychedelic energy. It’s proper future-facing house music that feels unmistakably SHADED.

SHADED’s ‘Down Now I’m Up’ drops via South of Saturn on 16th October 2026.
