Swiss talent Masaya offers a masterclass in dynamic, vocal-driven electronic music on Sirion Records

Masaya (CH) is Chile-born but Switzerland-based and is having a standout year. She has already impressed with her second album, ‘Mirrors of Alma’, and has entered a new creative phase by relaunching Mina Record for her own productions. She has a strong catalogue of deep house, minimal, and emotive techno on labels like Perspectiv, Chapter 24 Records, and Bedrock, where John Digweed has often released her music, including ‘Something Good & Bad’ from this EP on his Best of 2025 mix.

Across three original cuts, Masaya weaves her distinct vocal textures into the core of her productions. Opener ‘Something Good & Bad’ has a sophisticated, disco-infused edge and hypnotic rhythm that is infused with supple neon-synths and plenty of widescreen cosmic energy. ‘Linda Pena’ shifts the energy with more electric leads that bring tension to the deep, rolling grooves and warm percussion before her own vocals add a heavenly edge. ‘Fun Disorder’ rounds out the originals as a crisper, driving sound while loopy, shimmering vocals pan through the mix to dreamy and escapist effect.

Bristol-based dubspeeka steps up for remix duties and delivers a stripped-back, dubby, spacious techno interpretation anchored by chest-rattling, ultra-deep sub-bass, brought to life with subtle piano stabs that make it a tasteful weapon.

Masaya (CH)’s ‘The Duality EP’ comes on Sirion Records on 4th December 2026.
