Steve Angello Drops High-Octane ‘Prisoner’ Music Video
Formerly one-third of Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello today (March 11) shared the music video for “Prisoner” off his recent album Wild Youth.
The clip is very cinematic, and purposefully so. “With the song ‘Prisoner’ I really wanted to tell a story,” Angello toldSPIN. “So when it came to the music video, it felt right to create a visual that was strong in storytelling.”
Centered on two brothers compulsively involved in the Swedish motorsport folkracing, Angello “wanted to touch on the dark and almost maniacal side of Swedish culture.” He added that the visuals “felt like a natural fit for the song, the perception of being a prisoner to your own feelings.”
