Fabio Ferro is an Italian tech house mainstay who has been playing and producing since his mid-teens. He graduated from Milan’s SAE Institute and went on to hold residencies at Doom Club and DolceVita, while also playing internationally and serving as an exclusive resident with the Familia party at Egg London for a decade. Beyond his 10-year London residency, his international presence includes performances in Ibiza at top venues such as Hï, Privilege, and Pacha. From deep house to techno, he has a wide range and has often had high-profile support from stars such as Marco Carola, Nicole Moudaber and Richie Hawtin. Now he has branched out with his own label for ultimate artistic freedom following releases on the likes of Kaluki Musik and Snatch! Records.
First up is the full-bodied ‘Yo Creo,’ a stripped-back, low-key roller with dusty percussive accents. Serious heat comes from the steamy Latin vocal that rides the lumpy, driving bass, and as the vibe builds, you’re ever more locked into this straight-up and solid groove. Then comes the tight, more kicking house of ‘Rollin’, a robust cut with smart filters that tease and please. The vocals carry a hip-hop attitude, laced with bold low-end swagger, raw percussion, and textured synths that finish off this high-grade peak-time weapon.
