A few months on from his label debut ‘River’s All Wet’, BABA is back on Modern Delivery Xpress with ‘Rhythmatic’, picking up where his first release left off while pushing further into his own take on groove-driven house. The 24-year-old NYC-based producer builds the track around a lively, rolling rhythm and trippy details, giving the record plenty of room to breathe without ever losing its footing.
BABA’s musical background continues to shape his approach to production. Years spent playing piano, guitar, and in an indie surf rock band have given him an instinct for interplay that comes through in his electronic work, where individual parts feel deliberately considered rather than simply layered together. Building on support from Michael Bibi, Dennis Cruz, Adam Ten, &ME, Silva Bumpa, Enzo Is Burning, AYYBO, and others, that growing momentum now brings another drop on the label as he begins to establish a recognisable thread across the MDX catalogue.
