UK artists and DJs can apply for up to £8,000 through the FAC’s UK Artist Touring Fund. Applications close
September 11.
Applications are now open for Phase Two of the Featured Artists Coalition’s UK Artist Touring Fund, offering artists between £1,000 and £8,000 to keep loss-making UK tours on the road.
Created with the Music Managers Forum and Musicians’ Union, UKAT responds to rising travel, accommodation and staffing costs that routinely outstrip ticket income and guarantees.
The new £300,000 pot comes from the LIVE Trust’s voluntary £1 levy on tickets for large-scale shows. Contributors include Harry Styles, Radiohead, Jessie Ware, Basement Jaxx and Max Cooper, while Sub Focus recently became the first DJ to pledge the levy for his own arena dates.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 or over and live and work in the UK.
- Have released original music within the past three years.
- Have at least three confirmed UK headline shows at venues with capacities between 75 and 2,000.
- Ensure at least 75% of tour dates are promoter-booked with guaranteed fees.
- Request no more than 40% of eligible tour costs or the documented shortfall, whichever is lower.
