Walker & Royce Stomp in With Conscious Hip-Hop Head KAM-BU on Giant-Sized Deep Tech Single “Fee Fi Fo Fum” via Insomniac Records

LA’s rule-bending producer duo returns to the Insomniac imprint with their sophomore single, enlisting the lyrical prowess of London-based conscious hip-hop head KAM-BU on a giant-sized deep tech groove.

Walker & Royce lean into their rule-breaking instincts on “Fee Fi Fo Fum,” a deep, left-of-center tech house cut powered by the unmistakable vocal grit of London rapper KAM-BU. Due out on December 5th via Insomniac Records, the long-teased single arrives as one of the duo’s most requested IDs of the year—first electrifying crowds when they unleashed it at EDC Las Vegas.

“Fee Fi Fo Fum” flips a familiar fairytale refrain into something far more feral. KAM-BU’s rough-edged cadence slices clean through Walker & Royce’s elastic groove, where ray-swell pads stretch toward the ceiling before collapsing into laser-defined low-end rumbles. Barking synth hits, chiptune-flecked details, and a glossy, near-celestial backdrop create a taut push-and-pull between playfulness and weight, sharpening the duo’s signature off-kilter energy. The track hits fast, lingers long, and makes it instantly clear why fans kept chasing down the ID.

Originally linked through New York’s underground, Walker & Royce have carved out a lane where quirk, personality, and dancefloor force all intersect. Their Insomniac Records debut “Death By Love” earned coverage from Billboard, New York Style Guide, Melodic Mag, Acid Stag, Fresh Music Freaks, I Want EDM, Just A Wee Music Blog, Antimusic, and Profound—a key inflection point in their catalog. Since then, the duo has kept a relentless touring pace, from EDC Orlando, Escape, HARD Summer, and Outside Lands to Movement, Under the K Bridge, and Club Space, consistently road-testing the new fan-favorite ID.

KAM-BU brings the sharp lyrical instincts that have positioned him as one of the UK’s most compelling rising voices. Grounded in a rasta upbringing and shaped by soundsystem culture, his flow pulls from grime, drill, UK rap, and the broader rave continuum. His creative reach now spans collaborations with Jon Hopkins, HAAi, ATRIP, Tibasko, p-rallel, and Clipz, alongside performances at Reading & Leeds, All Points East, Glastonbury, and Pitchfork Paris—a foundation that gives “Fee Fi Fo Fum” its unmistakable bite.

The single lands as Walker & Royce gear up for a major Los Angeles moment at Grand Park Block 2 this January, adding momentum to an already electric 2026 trajectory. Recent DJ and radio support from Martin Ikin, Dom Dolla, Dombresky, NOIZU, John Summit, Odd Mob, ‘The Martin Garrix Show’, and ‘Experts Only’ Radio continues to underline their club dominance—bolstered further by their festival-season staple remix of The Dare’s “Girls,” championed by John Summit, Chris Lake, Dom Dolla, Vintage Culture, and others worldwide.

Their live presence carries through a packed run of winter shows, including stops at Club Space, Fresh Start in San Francisco, Silo Dallas, and a return to Los Angeles for Grand Park Block 2, before closing out January at Walter Where? House.

With “Fee Fi Fo Fum,” Walker & Royce sharpen their no-rules philosophy into its clearest form yet—pairing a giant-sized groove with KAM-BU’s incisive bite for a track that’s mischievous, muscular, and meticulously dialed for the dancefloor. It’s another reminder of the duo’s knack for turning odd ideas into club staples, delivered with precision and personality in equal measure.

More About Walker & Royce

For Sam Walker and Gavin Royce, the question is the fundamental test of their studio output. Simple as it may sound, for this perfectionist pair it’s anything but. Their innate dance floor intuition, combined with years of experience behind the decks, drives them to create music that isn’t just playable — it’s irresistible. First introduced by way of New York City’s early-aughts dance music scene, Sam Walker and Gavin Royce first teamed up for a remix in 2011. The duo found early success on tastemaker labels like Crosstown Rebels, OFF Recordings, and Moda Black, scoring an Essential New Tune nod from Pete Tong with 2014’s “Sister.” The indie dance and deep house sounds that informed Walker & Royce’s earliest work soon gave way to something different. Quirky accents and bouncy synths, previously deeper in the mix, leapt to the forefront, backed by a propulsive new energy. The success of their November 2015 “Bright Lights” remix was a clear indication that they were onto something. In October 2017, Walker & Royce released their debut album Self Help on Dirtybird, which both showcased and expanded upon their now-signature sound. The guys enlisted numerous vocalists, including Green Velvet, Dances With White Girls, and Sophiegrophy, to make Self Help feel like a packed house party – while leaving no doubt about who was hosting. Self Help was followed by further experimentation and growth. Sam and Gavin have collaborated with Claude Vonstroke, Ardalan, Chris Lake and VNSSA just to name a few as well as remixed Channel Tres, LP Giobbi, The Knocks, Justin Jay, Gorgon City, Mindchatter; and put out music on Relief, Black Book, HotBOi Records and more. Their Rave Grave EP was the inaugural release on Diplo’s house-focused imprint Higher Ground. Continuing to push boundaries, they have launched their own label Rules Don’t Apply Records, with the ethos just as the name states…No Rules, just good music. Walker & Royce have spent years honing in on their one-of-a-kind style, meticulously crafting the sounds they want their fans to hear in clubs, at festivals and in their headphones. The result is a cohesive, career-defining body of work that firmly places the duo at the forefront of dance music’s future.
