HILLS are a two-piece electronic act making quick work of the jump from underground buzz to internationally renowned. Formed by longtime friends, the pair balance peak-time punch with bold sound designs and plenty of characterful samples that always hit hard. Their 2025 debut year saw nine Beatport Top 10s, a #1 most-played track on 1001Tracklists and sold-out shows across the US and Asia. Now working with names including Anyma, FISHER and John Summit, HILLS have carried that momentum into 2026, with their latest chapter arriving on Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint in the form of their two-track ‘Check It Out’ release.
“We are so excited to get this two-track project out on TRICK. We have been going back and forth with Patrick for a few months with different tracks trying to find the exact right vibe for the label. TRICK has been a staple label for us for quite some time, so to get a couple songs out on the label is a huge milestone for us. ‘Check It Out’ has been getting crazy reaction online, and ‘Is It Really Love’ is one of our favorite songs we have made. Stoked to finally have them out October 23rd!” – HILLS
The muscular ‘Check It Out’ proves it with its retro stabs and slamming grooves. The leads constantly change to keep the energy high, with clipped vocals, escalating chords and plenty of hard-edged drops, scratching and sonic fireworks. ‘Is It Really Love’ goes deeper with a smart blend of R&B and tech house. The filtered vocals have an emotional ache while the bold bassline throws it back to the 90s. Sustained pads, neon colours and garage-leaning percussion all help this one really pop.
HILLS’ ‘Check It Out’ drops via Trick on 23rd October 2026.
