The pace hasn’t let up for SOSA. As ‘The Connection’ pushes towards two million Spotify streams while remaining a constant within BBC Radio 1’s Dance Playlist deep into the summer, the Liverpool favourite returns to action with ‘Italian Job’, marking his first release on Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi Records. At a time when his records are finding just as much life away from the dancefloor as they are on it, the release arrives as another snapshot of an artist operating with complete confidence.
Built around a groove-led foundation, ‘Italian Job’ captures SOSA at his most playful. Utilising rolling percussion beneath a vibrant lead hook that cuts effortlessly through the mix, giving the record an immediate character that feels tailor-made for open-air dancefloors and summer festivals alike, it’s another track that has sparked plenty of conversation long before its official release.
The release also lands ahead of a key set of shared appearances between SOSA and Joseph Capriati, with the pair set to go back-to-back at Eastern Electrics before reuniting later this year at Creamfields. The latter represents a particularly special occasion for SOSA, bringing one of electronic music’s biggest names to his home territory as he continues to take his sound to an ever-growing audience. Following a sold-out COCO showcase in London, his sold-out LA headline at Expo Lawn and yet another busy period on the road, ‘Italian Job’ captures SOSA in the middle of what looks set to be a defining stretch. His debut on Metamorfosi Records sees one of house music’s most in-demand names align with one of its most respected imprints – a combination that feels entirely in step with where both are right now.
SOSA ‘Italian Job’ drops via Metamorfosi Records on 24th July 2026.
